10 VVT institutions have teamed up with Sigra (the regional partnership of 150 care and welfare organizations) to take the next step in their ambition to work in a data-driven way and their desire to act jointly in this regard. The project originated from the Maximally Digital program and was initiated by four participating healthcare organizations (Cordaan, Amstelring, Evean and the Zonnehuisgroep Amstelland) operating in the Sigra regions of Amsterdam and Amstelland-Meerlanden. In collaboration with 6Gorillas and The Information Lab, the organizations are launching a Proof of Concept (PoC) for the development of a new data platform. This platform, intended to support both organization-specific and regional data needs, is known as a Datasharehouse.
The choice for this collaboration stems from the joint expertise of the parties involved. 6Gorillas, known for their focus on data solutions in the healthcare sector, and The Information Lab, experts in data analysis and visualization, will work with the participating organizations to explore how the new platform can strengthen the region's ambitions.
The Datasharehouse will be based on Snowflake, the leading cloud-based technology known for its flexibility, scalability and cost-effectiveness. This data platform, fully managed by 6Gorillas, will allow healthcare organizations and Sigra to gain deep insight into relevant data sources, promoting data-driven decision-making within the region.
Rik van Schaik, CEO The Information Lab: "We look forward to a successful collaboration with Sigra and the network of health and welfare organizations. It is a valuable opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the improvement of healthcare with our expertise."
Insights are gained by visualizing data in reports and dashboards, which can be easily shared within organizations. To do so, The Information Lab uses leading platforms such as Tableau, Power BI and Superset, enabling companies to make the most of their data for decision-making and strategy.
"With this Proof of Concept, we are taking an important step in strengthening cooperation within the region. We are convinced that with our technology, data analysts will receive powerful tools that will enable them to generate meaningful insights and thereby optimize care processes. This is not only an opportunity to give time back to healthcare providers, but also to foster the data-driven culture within these healthcare organizations." - Jeroen Schenk, director 6Gorillas.
The Proof of Concept will focus on six key result areas:
- Understanding data sources Improved understanding of available data and their relevance to care processes.
- Culture Change Encourage a culture that focuses on data-driven decision-making.
- Skill development Promote data skills in employees.
- Data sharing Secure and standardized sharing of data between healthcare organizations.
- Data architecture Optimizing data storage, processing and access.
- Ethical and legal integration Ensuring responsible and privacy-compliant handling of data.
The VVT organizations and Sigra are excited to partner with 6Gorillas and The Information Lab to take steps toward a data-driven future for the region. "The Proof of Concept will lay a solid foundation for further development of the Regional Data Warehouse and realizing regional ambitions." - Vera van Lin Manager BI & Product Owner data platform at Cordaan.
